my sister is getting married in August, and we want a Bentley Flying Spur and a Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder for the entire day. We live in Preston, UK so need a North west England based hire company, NOT ONE THAT IS BELLOW MANCHESTER!!

we would prefer self-drive cars as we have had experience in driving this cars, but chauffeur cars would be okay as well. we do not want to spend more that £800.00 for both of the cars for the day. The wedding is on a Saturday in August so we need to book cars fast.

They hire out luxury cars and will deliver to your address. I dont think it cost less than £800 though.

We don't want to spend too much on hiring a nice car for our wedding in Australia (Melbourne) so was wondering If anyone could recommend a place or even a car hire place to hire a car for a day or two where my brother can drive the car?

Thanks!

Do you have any family or friends/neighbor that have a nice looking car and you put a ribbon on it that way you cut the cost down. Some of the sites might help. Have a wonderful wedding.

I live next door to the church i am marrying in but we are seperated by a duel carriageway, that i will have to cross with my bridal party, how can i make this look more elegant and less embarrassing. (its pointless hiring a car to go 50 yards…and the reception in at our home as were having a garden party…so no one needs to travel in a car from the church either)
Help I dont want this to turn into a comedy!!!

Would love to help but, can not get this picture out of my head of you all, stopping traffic going over the dual carriageway….Higher a car even if it is for 50 yards you will feel better……….

Does anyone know of any really really beautiful and picturesque stately homes (or other venues, like hotels etc) in or around East Sussex?

We hope to get married in the Summer of 2008. Oooh and also, whilst I'm here… can anyone suggest a great place for a honeymoon that you either don't need to hire a car to get around or where you don't have to be over 21 or 25 to hire a car (we are 18)

Thanks alot everyone! xx
Thank you Ribena, the honeymoon sounds good. I'll have to keep looking at venues as it has to be close to home really as I have a family member who is severely paralysed and can't travel far unfortunately.
Thanks again, very helpful xx

When i got married i had my reception at my local golf club. We had the entire building to ourselves and the sceenary driving upto the building was fantastic. Lots of open grounds and woodlands. You would never of guessed we were near a busy road with all the beautiful countryside surrounding the golf couse. Worth looking into and we saved at least £2000 having it there instead of at a hotel where other parties are being held at the same time. I felt really special nearly everyone commented on how wonderfull the place was.

How far is it from the Gladstone airport to the Rydges hotel? We are coming up for a wedding just for a weekend and want to know if it is worth hiring a car or will it be cheaper to do it by taxi? There will be 4-6 of us. Thanks

it is 5-6 mins from rudges resort hotel the one in gondoon st and it will take u aprox 5-9 mins in a taxi depends on what time u arrive in gladstone i think that a taxi would be the way to go there telephone number is (07) 49721800 if u hire a car u have to hire it for a minimum 2-3 days and it is expensive like 300-400 dollars i hope this helps as i live in gladstone and the best pub in town is the grand hotel it is like a 50 metre walk up the hill cheers and have a good time at the wedding

I need help finding the following people to hire for my wedding in May 2009. I'm looking for vendors in the Oakland, Livingston, and Wayne County areas.

All reccomendations and referrals are appreciated, we need vendors willing to work the Sunday before Memorial day….Thank you in advance.

We are looking for the following people, services, or items….

Photographer-not too expensive, but documentary style.

A lighting expert for creating a lighting effect with Led fairy lights or monogram lights.

An awesome DJ to keep the guest happy and dancing.

A minister, we had one but she cancelled since our wedding is on a holiday weekend.

A hairstylist do do all of the bridal party's hair and makeup at the wedding site in Hartland.

And possibly preformers to entertain the guest while the bridal party has photos. (Magicians, dance groups, dance instructors, tarot car readers, circus preformers, or characture artist)

Check out http://www.mywedding.com . Also the ladies on the local boards at http://talk.theknot.com are very helpful with finding vendors.

We are starting to look into limousines for our wedding next summer, and I'm not sure about how some things work..

Does the limousine bring the bridal party to the church before the ceremony and if so where does it pick them up from?

I know the bridal party rides in the limo (we are getting one huge one for the entire bridal party plus ourselves) from the ceremony to the reception, but how does everyone get home from the reception?

Does a separate car get hired to bring the bride from her home to the church, even though she will be riding in the limo with everyone else when leaving the church?

If I have 16 people in the bridal party, should I hire a limo that fits 18 so that it is less crowded?

Thanks for any help as I've realized I don't quite know how all of this work! :)
we had a 22 people hummer for 14 people +bride and groom and i don't think 17th person would of fit in it.

If the wedding is more than $30 cab ride then you should get them some kind of transportation or ask other friend if they could give them a lift home .

I am having a dinosaur themed wedding and want to have a car like the ones used in Jurassic park as my wedding car. Does anyone know where I could hire one from or if they even exist?

According to this: http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=118103

The Ford Explorers used in the Jurassic Park movie were salvaged for use as props in the Universal theme park rides.

I have hired a wedding car company, they have been booked since June last year and we get married in June this year.

I do not think they balance the books every mnth because I have been making down payments on the balance via internet banking, I called them the other day to confirm the balance and they claim that they have not received a payment since November.

I asked for an additional hour on the hire time ( I asked for this in November) I understood that there was an additional £45.00 to be added to the balance. I called them on Sataurday and they wanted to put another £60.00 on the balance for the same thing that should have been done in November.

The pick up times were correct until recently.

Then, earlier this week they sent me confirmation of the wrong pick up times!

Do you think I should demand a discount due to their incompetance?
I think I am more organized than these people……

I have all my receipts, I knew what the balance was, I just wanted to see if we were singing from the same hymn sheet.

I have emailed them telling them of the discrepency, attaching previous emails, detailing of my request for int additional hour and confirmation of the times etc

I have a fold in my inbox saying wedding!

Absolutely, I would want, from a manager or owner, in writing that you are getting a discount. This is too much hassle to deal with. If they wont get you a discount, I'd want a refund, in full, and take your business elsewhere. Show them your receipts that have your payments on them as proof. This is absolutely ridiculous. Hopefully, you'll have a good outcome.
